Wow! This gives the openings plus the percentage of players that make one particular move. And if you look for it it will show which masters players, with their rating, that had the exact position and who won! Additionally, it has a quiz to test knowledge like which opening is shown and best statistically for the win. I am most impressed. I've had this going about an hour and no adverts yet... I hope they are mild to none, but I understand there must be money for bills. Thanks for this program!

Overall, the app is pretty good at capturing the main lines. Requiring a connection to access database games is not a big problem for me, but some gripes I have include the weak engine analysis as well as an outdated opening database. When I first got the app 4 years ago, it really helped me develop my opening knowledge, but now that I am decent (2000), I need a more thorough database. This app is good for beginner/intermediate players, but for experienced players you should look elsewhere.

Nice app, and I found another use for it: when a chess book doesn't have enough diagrams for my level, I enter the first moves on the app and 'sometimes' I find the exact game to be followed, move by move. When the game is not on the database, it would be nice to have the option to keep playing for both players (instead, the board just locks).
