About this app

This is a photography application for RICOH THETA X/Z1/V/SC2/SC2 for Business.

By linking the camera to a smartphone, you can remotely trigger the shutter while performing a live preview, allowing you to take pictures without the reflection of people, which can be used for promotional purposes.

By uploading photos and videos to the cloud, they can be viewed in a 360-degree viewer from a browser, allowing people in distant locations to see what is happening at the site.

*This function is not compatible with RICOH THETA/m15/S/SC.

*Currently, we are expanding the functionality of the shooting function. Please refer to the following for the main functions.

The old Theta app worked. I barely got this new app to work once. Now I can't get it to open (it just freezes indefinitely on a blank page). I cleared cache, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Now I can open, but when I try to log in it spins indefinitely. So basically, I can't even use my camera. What a joke of a company. "Let's make a camera that can't be used without our janky app." I have a YL00 with a Motorola Edge+. More than enough power in this phone.

Update 7/19/25 Newest firmware has bricked the app. Cannot use at all. 0/5 This app does what it's supposed to do at its core, which is control my 360 camera and allow me to take photos and video. But "doing the bare minimum" has never been a great benchmark. All presets reset every time the app is initialized. Can no longer review photos/scans taken directly from the device via the app; have to copy them to your phone first. It's quick but an extra step for every. single. shot.

Terrible app. For some reason they decided to use wifi as the connection rather than BT. Now I have to connect to the wifi of camera. They made the app something that has a mandatory log-in via intetnet that auto logs you out. so you have to disconnect from the camera wifi to access the Internet. then log in. then reconnect to the wifi of the camera. and then it doesn't seem to work now because the camera is offline!? what??
