The new SchoolMessenger app gives busy parents, students, and staff a powerful way to stay engaged with their school or district, and connect to each other.

App Features:
- Easy-to-read inbox that captures all SchoolMessenger notifications, and now two-way teacher-parent-student messages (if enabled by school or district)
- Scrollable notification view to review all phone, email, and text content in a single place
- Detailed preference control allows adjusting notification settings
- Push notifications are available for alerts when school or district sends a message
Requirements:
- For notifications, school or district has SchoolMessenger notification service subscription with SchoolMessenger app enabled
- For notifications, valid email address on file with your school or district
- WiFi or data plan for internet access
- Android 4.4 or higher

Note:
SchoolMessenger app is not for sending broadcast messages. If you are a SchoolMessenger Communicate notification customer looking to send broadcast messages, please download the SchoolMessenger Admin sender app.

This app is very helpful when getting information from my school. But the thing that makes it have three stars is it logs me out every time I exit the app and I don't get notifications. I looked everywhere on the log in page and there is no button that says to keep me logged in. I highly reccomend you add this feature so people can get alerts from the school immediately.

The latest version doesn't have student Attendance option. Hi, support: Thanks for your reply. my account is linked properly. I could see my child's name, and I am still seeing it right now. This is intermittent problem. Many of us couldn't find "Attendance" from App this morning. It is showing up now, I didn't change any setting. Some friends is having same issue today. It is definitely software, database, or your server's problem. Henry

Henry - if your school is using attendance and you aren't seeing the Attendance menu, it means your account is not linked properly to the school records. Please send us a message to appfeedback@schoolmessenger.com and we'll help sort it out. Thanks!

I find this app unpredictable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Can't update my preferences. I get a notice saying missing header try again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it's up to date. Would also like to be able to mark child absent for half a day or late. And there is no option for signing your kid out early. I still have to call and speak to a person. Needs a lot of work.

Thank you for using the SchoolMessenger App! In this release, we have updated the link to our Privacy Policy and added support for districts who want to make comments mandatory for certain absence reasons (only if your school is a SafeArrival customer).
