I can't really blame the app, because this is going to be the case for all current translators, but the translation are just poor. It had a few problems with text not being read correctly, and the constant reopening, scrolling, and reopening of the translator felt clunky. I imagine if you gave it 4 years, a very good translator API will pop up somewhere and will mitigate the problem, but an ai can only go so far without the context clues that we have in reading and remembering the story.

Just get Google lens, it's free and more stable. Pleco has a live ocr overlay, is more stable and has a way more affordable lifetime fee. I wouldn't mind paying a monthly fee if the translation overlay wasn't so dark so you can't see the actual comic pic you are reading, only the text and the the app tends to be very buggg. It seems very experimental for the fee being charged and the free trial is for 30 minutes and has ads. It's gives off very greedy capitalist vibe more than service driven.

I would honestly be extremely willing to pay a monthly fee to use this app because frankly, it is one of the better on screen translation apps out there-probably the best one. But it is freakishly expensive. It's good but not worth $15 a month which is comparable to online streaming services or other comic reading apps. It's lower quality translations compared to official ones. They should really reconsider their price ranges. It is AI generated translation, not human translated with more labor
