Update: The calendar finally started working but stopped again. I haven't been able to use it since January. It says, "There was an error loading your calendar." Once again, I have signed out and back in. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I gave it 2 stars because the calendar does not work. It just keeps telling me there was an error in loading my students calendar. I have refreshed it, Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I still cannot get the calendar to work.

Hi, Sorry to hear you were having problems. Let us investigate more detail at https://www.instructure.com/canvas/support-faq. If you're open, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the parent app notification topic by the end of November 2024: https://t.maze.co/296167385

There's a small learning curve but the app is cleanly laid out and helpful enough to track student progress. Alert categories are fairly fine tuned, but surprisingly there doesn't seem to be system app notification support for those alerts. You need to open the app and go into the alerts page to see generated alerts, which makes this app half-useful. I hate to pile on the bad reviews but given the ubiquity of this system, these small "bugs" should be addressed.

Seems I've had the opposite problem of most of the reviews here. It kept telling me my code was invalid when trying to sign up on the desktop version of the website, but when using the mobile app, I WAS able to sign up using the same code the website said was invalid! The only issue I encountered was: not to click/tap out of the code field, or switch apps (to see the code in a picture or text, for example) because that makes the code field un-editable.
