About this game

Désiré is a poetic point-and-click adventure game in black and white.

When the schoolteacher asks Désiré why he didn't draw the sun like the other pupils, he replies spontaneously: « It's always night in my head. »

Désiré is colour-blind from birth and he will lead you into in world of black and white. He marches on hesitantly, as life never brought him much joy. From a tender age, he is going to meet several characters who will elicit in Désiré intense emotions and alter his vision in surprising ways. Is colour at the end of the road?

The game is, at its core, a critique of the modern world and of the perverting nature of a consumer, profit-obsessed society.

The game contains 4 chapters, 50+ scenes, 40+ characters and a lot of riddles.

« Ah... dear fellow traveller... I am so happy to meet you and to travel with you along this rocky path to let a surprising story unfold. Do not be too quick to judge! At least not before you know how it ends. This story is both rough and delicate... as repulsive as it is endearing... melancholy and joyful... but most of all, it is a tale that is deeply human and profoundly singular. So let me introduce this young, colour blind boy who, from birth, has only ever perceived the world in black and white. Colours, to him, are as abstract as faith to the atheist. Yet, they plagued his dreams, night and day! This boy's name is Désiré and his life path will surely surprise you. But enough chit-chat! Go and find out for yourself... »

Great concept & art. Bad English transl. Bad ctrls: touch doesn't correspond to the items selected. The 'keys' are too subtle for mobile (at least let him say "I need Dad's keys somewhere" so we can be sure it wasn't in him the whole time. Also, what's the pt. of locking something if the keys are accessible anyways?). Even though I got the poster and all, when Dad's out to talk to the aunt and I use the keys into the cupboard no matter how quick, it still says I need more time… I can't progress.

fantastic game, I love the art and the crude aspects, makes it more real and personal. I'm still playing! the only thing I wish there could be added is an objective hint, like what exactly the next goal is. with an open map game sometimes it can be a little confusing figuring out what to do and where, that would help. or even hints would be nice! I feel a bit stuck sometimes and have to look up a play through to help. but overall a great game I'm excited to finish

Overall, the art and soundtrack was amazing. Note, there are sexual and more serious themes in this. In some parts, there's definitely a lot of dialogue, however, I think it added to the characters. Some of the puzzles were confusing, and the game doesn't let you go forward at times when you don't exhaust all dialogue. Storyline was good, although it was a little scattered. Ending was a tad bit underwhelming, but I would probably play this again. I also used a walkthrough in some parts too.
