Absolutely the worst airline app I've used. Flight details in the app are non-existent, you have to go to the mobile website to get any info. Other apps at least link to their mobile site. Worse, the app stops working if you don't use it for a few days. The last couple trips I have had on AA I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app just to check in and get my boarding pass, even on separate legs of the same trip. AA is horrible all around as an airline, and they live down to that here.

The best thing about this app is that you learn very quickly how bad American sucks. You learn when they cancel, delay, or move your gate 3x in one hour. I've had 4 flights with these guys in the last week. Not one has left on time, and another was cancelled, adding another connector, which is also delayed. They seem to take customers for granted and don't care if your flight is delayed or canceled. I'm not sure of your options, but I'd suggest choosing another airline.

It's useful. I'll keep it on my phone, but there are annoying bugs: 1) when I use the camera scan of my passport the app repeatedly returns incorrect passport details, 2) when I use NFC to scan my passport, the app returns my year of birth as 2042 even though I manually entered 1942 number of times. 3) When I finally get all passport information correct through manual editing and submit it, the app says "We cannot process your request. Try again later." I finally just used the web site.
