King County Metro Flex is an on-demand neighborhood transit service. Use your phone to ride anywhere in your service area for the same cost as a bus trip.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Download the app and create an account.
- Book an on-demand ride on your phone.
- Meet your driver on a nearby corner.
CONVENIENT
Use your phone to tell Metro Flex where you are and where you want to go. You’ll receive a nearby pick-up location for a Metro Flex vehicle only a short walk away.
FAST
It just takes a minute to book your ride! The app will send you an approximate arrival time for your Metro Flex vehicle.
AFFORDABLE
Metro Flex costs the same as a Metro bus trip. And with your ORCA card, you can transfer for free to or from a bus or Sound Transit Link light rail. You can also pay with a Transit GO Ticket or credit/debit card. Youth up to age 18 ride free.

The service is great, but the app itself has some bugs. About 30% of the time the driver doesn't get a notification that I've booked a ride, so they just stay parked until I call them. Some drivers can't be called, so I have to cancel the ride and try again, or take a bus. When I open the hamburger menu, I can only access my profile. All of the other items just show the loading animation. Once you book a ride, you can no longer see your ETA

The service is very useful tho some seem to think this is just a cheap taxi service. It's not - it's to cover areas other transit options don't. However, the app needs a lot of work before this becomes a reliable service. Time of arrival and location of the incoming vehicle are seldom correct. More than once I've had the car pull up but the app shows it is still miles away. Fix the app and people will like the service a lot better.

0 stars! The via app was better! This rarely gives the option for a ride, always suggests the bus, even called the number to book a ride, thinking dealing with their customer service would be easier... wrong! They couldn't even get me a ride to my home from the transit station which was never an issue before as im in their "permitted zone" the whole point of this app is to book a ride yet they suggest bus routes... i have other apps for that! This has become virtually useless!
