2 Primary reasons for 1 star. 1. Forced subscription (Oh but they give a 3-day trial! Yeah but it will autocharge afterwards. Scammy and scummy.) 2. The opening bio has 150 character limit. How can you say who you are to a meaningful degree with 2 sentences tops? (Before this parenthetical, I was at 250+ characters, so I would have to cut that in half. No one can write that short of a bio if they are actually trying to connect.)

We appreciate your feedback. Lex is an inclusive LGBTQ+ social app designed for authentic queer connections. The trial subscription at onboarding is only optional and you can skip it at the top right corner. The bio limit is loudly heard. I am going to talk to engineering and get that fixed this week to increase character count. Thanks!

Its a great concept a queer social networking app but very heavily leans towards paying a subscription with a lot of features missing. You aren't able to send photos or feature more than one photo on there as a paid member. I was barred from the platform for mentioning that I am cis ally attending a Trans rights rally here in the uk. I was an active member on the platform looking to make friends. I did email them to find out what happened but no response.

The app is always free to use and Lex Plus is only if you want features above and beyond. You can always email support@lex.lgbt to get help. Sorry for the frustrating experience thus far. 💜

In my opinion, this is a truly terrible app. While there is a swiping feature, users can only choose to message other users or skip them—there is no way to match with people. The bios one can include about themselves are extremely limited in terms of how many characters are allowed. There are no short essay prompts. There is virtually no way to inform the userbase of what/who you're looking for. It's worse than OkCupid has become, in my opinion (and that's also pretty darn bad!).

Thanks for your feedback. We have a feature called 'boop' that acts similar to a like on other platforms for users who don't want to go straight to messaging. I am getting the character limit on the bios increased this week. We do have prompts, you just need to go to your "edit profile" page to access that. Hopefully this helps!
