Let's not talk about the app, but the video quality & "feature" of the camera/videos. The point of a security camera is to monitor 24/7 & have decent to high definition videos. Paid 100$ a year subscription to get grainy & glitchy videos. I get unreliable motion detection clips & only seconds of it. It'll mostly miss the beginning & end (where the "motion" came from & went). i.e. someone magically appeared by a door that was closed, now opened. Didn't even get the part where the person entered.

The whole point of having a security camera is to check when you hear something outside - but every single time I try to load Live View during noise or motion, it fails to connect. I even tested it by setting off my own car alarm and the app still wouldn't load. It can't be a coincidence - the feed always fails exactly when it matters. Works fine when nothing is happening, but completely unreliable in real situations. Very frustrating and makes me question the point of owning a Ring cam.

App worked great till a couple months ago. Now notifications are pointless if they even come through timely. The doorbell ring no longer works as a notification on the phone, only through the doorbell itself, there is no longer a video preview, the app does not open when you click on the notification, and on the rare occasion that it does open it brings you to a whole new live view rather than the footage it notified you about. The app has become pointless for notifications.
